As a locally owned and operated self storage business, National Self Storage has always depended on the support of the community around us. Many of our tenants found us through a recommendation from a friend, neighbor, or family member. We want to GIVE BACK to our tenants by offering $25.00 for referring a NEW tenant to our business!

Additionally, the new tenant signing up will receive 5% off of their storage rent forever!

It’s simple! If you refer a new customer to rent a storage space at any National Self Storage facility, you’ll receive $25 as a THANK-YOU once they complete their sign-up process online or in-person. Here’s the steps:

Refer a friend, family member or community member to sign-up for a storage space.

Make sure they mention your name, email address and/or phone number when they rent a unit. This is necessary so we can verify your information.

Once they move in, you’ll receive $25 for the referral in the form of a GIFT CARD or an account credit towards your storage rental (for current tenants). We will apply a 5% OFF Referred Discount to the new tenant once any online promotions have ended.

How do I receive my $25 from referring a new customer?

Current tenants can redeem their $25 once our staff has verified with the new customer that you referred them to our business. The $25 is given in the form of an account statement OR as a digital gift card to most popular online retailers. If you would prefer a digital VISA card, any fees necessary to program the card will be deducted from the $25 before sending it to you. Brands like Amazon, Home Depot, Target, Walmart and others do not charge activation fees for the digital gift cards at the time of writing this information but if they do in the future, those fees will be deducted from the $25.

What are the limitations of this promotion?

You must refer a new customer to our business. They can not be previous storage tenants at any of our locations or a current or previous alternate contact for a different individual’s storage unit account. You can not redeem this promotion for any person that has signed up previously. The new client must contact the main office for the facility they store at within one (1) month of signing to let our staff know who the $25.00 account statement or gift card should be delivered to. This can be done by emailing, calling or texting the main office with the name, phone number and email address of the referrer. Our staff verify the information with the referrer so our team can deliver the program benefit to them.

Is there a limit to how many referrals I can redeem the $25 for?

There is no limit for current or former tenants! We appreciate any and all referrals as long as the new customer completes a full sign-up for a storage space. We are happy to work with local businesses and organizations so if you’re not a current or former tenant but would like to inquire about participating in this program, please email media@nationalselfstorage.com.

Can this program be redeemed if the new customer has taken advantage of other promotions like a $1 move-in deal?

Yes, but the promotions do not stack. After signing up, the new customer should contact our office within the first month of their rental to let us know the person that referred them to our business. Any promotions that the new customer has taken advantage of will first apply to their storage rent, then the 5% monthly discount will apply to their account once there are no other promotions running from their initial sign-up.
